Abstract: In my thesis project, I worked on the Thermal Model for the FGT detector. The purpose of this thermal model is to simulate the cooling system for the electronics of the FGT. In this thesis report, I go over the construction of the model disks for the thermal model and the measurements I made on one disk. I also discuss the LabVIEW program I worked on to monitor the temperature of the readout cards over time. The measurements I made with the LabVIEW program concerned the orientation of the disks. The two orientations I took measurements for were for a disk placed upside down in a horizontal surface and for a disk placed vertically on a pipe. After analyzing the data, I found that these two orientations have no effect on the heating and the cooling of the readout cards.
