  1. [You are talking about the conference you attended.] Exclaim (expecting agreement) on what a boring conference it was.
    つまらないかいぎでしたねえ。

  2. You have been asked to identify a group of people. Explain that they are teachers and students.
    せんせいとがくせいですよ。

  3. [You have been asked about a word processor.] Find out which word processor is meant.
    どのワープロですか。

    1. muzukasii desu.
      Sorry! Explanation: Sono is a pre-nominal - it must be followed by a nominal or nominal phrase.

    2. zassi zya nai desu yo.
      Right! This is correct.

    3. desu ka?
      Sorry! Explanation: Again, sono must be followed by a nominal or nominal phrase.

    4. no desu.
      Sorry! Explanation: Pre-nominals like sono cannot precede no. The correct to say "that one" is sore.

    5. hurui no desu ne.
      Right! This is correct.

  2. Ookii _____.

    1. zisyo desu ka?
      Right! This is correct.

    2. to tiisai desu.
      Sorry! Explanation: To is used for the the conjunction of only nominals.

    3. no zya arimasen yo.
      Right! This is correct.

    4. desita nee.
      Sorry! Explanation: The perfective forms of adjectivals do not use desita. The correct way to say "It was big" is Ookikatta desu nee.

    5. nakatta desu.
      Sorry! Explanation: The correct way to say "It was not big" is Ookiku nakatta desu.
