Abstract
In this demo, we present Meta-antenna, a design and fabrication approach for building frequency-reconfigurable antennas using a single type of mechanical metamaterial structure. Unlike conventional antennas with fixed geometries and static frequency and radiation properties, Meta-antenna employs mechanical reconfiguration to dynamically adjust both its geometry and radiation behavior, enabling greater adaptability for sensing and communication applications. We demonstrate Meta-antenna’s potential through adaptive personal devices, smart home systems, and tangible user interfaces.
