Abstract
Applications such as quantum control, manufacturing, biology, and sensing require blue and ultraviolet light modulated in space and time. We propose and implement a strategy for fast, individual, coherent control of spatially-multiplexed channels at blue and ultraviolet wavelengths by combining an integrated photonic modulator array with a strong pump beam for sum-frequency generation in a bulk nonlinear crystal. We realize a 4x4 array of amplitude-modulated spots at 420nm with a 3dB bandwidth of 2GHz.
