Abstract
© 2016, Sociedad Matemática Mexicana. The category of groupoids admits a “stabilization” in which the morphisms are given by the group completion of the commutative monoid of suitable bisets. In this paper we enrich this to a bicategory structure, and provide an alternative model using spans of groupoids.
