Abstract
We report the measurement of the baryonic B decay B[superscript -]→Σ[subscript c][superscript ++]p̅ π[superscript -]π[superscript -]. Using a data sample of 467×10[superscript 6] BB̅ pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II storage ring at SLAC, the measured branching fraction is (2.98±0.16[subscript (stat)]±0.15[subscript (syst)]±0.77[subscript (Λc)])×10[superscript -4], where the last error is due to the uncertainty in B(Λ[subscript c]+→pK[superscript -]π[superscript +]). The data suggest the existence of resonant subchannels B[superscript -]→Λ[subscript c](2595)[superscript +]p̅ π[superscript -] and, possibly, B[superscript -]→Σ[subscript c][superscript ++]Δ̅[superscript --]π[superscript -]. We see unexplained structures in m(Σ[subscript c][superscript ++]π[superscript -]π[superscript -]) at 3.25 GeV/c[superscript 2], 3.8 GeV/c[superscript 2], and 4.2 GeV/c[superscript 2].
