Abstract
We report an analysis of the Λ[subscript b][superscript 0]→Λ[subscript c][superscript +]π[superscript -]π[superscript +]π[superscript -] decay in a data sample collected by the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron corresponding to 2.4 fb[superscript -1] of integrated luminosity. We reconstruct the currently largest samples of the decay modes Λ[subscript b][superscript 0]→Λ[subscript c](2595)[superscript +]π[superscript -] (with Λ[subscript c](2595)[superscript +]→Λ[subscript c][superscript +]π[superscript +]π[superscript -]), Λ[subscript b][superscript 0]→Λ[subscript c](2625)[superscript +]π[superscript -] (with Λ[subscript c](2625)[superscript +]→Λ[subscript c][superscript +]π[superscript +]π[superscript -]), Λ[subscript b][superscript 0]→Σ[subscript c](2455)[superscript ++]π[superscript -]π[superscript -] (with Σ[subscript c](2455)[superscript ++]→Λ[subscript c][superscript +]π[superscript +]), and Λ[subscript b][superscript 0]→Σ[subscript c](2455)[superscript 0]π[superscript +]π[superscript -] (with Σ[subscript c](2455)[superscript 0]→Λ[subscript c][superscript +]π[superscript -]) and measure the branching fractions relative to the Λ[subscript b][supersccript 0]→Λ[subscript c][superscript +]π[superscript -] branching fraction. We measure the ratio B(Λ[subscript b][superscript 0]→Λ[subscript c][superscript +]π[superscript -]π[superscript +]π[superscript -])/ B(Λ[subscript b][superscript 0]→Λ[subscript c][[superscript +]π[superscript -])=3.04±0.33(stat)[subscript -0.55][superscript +0.70](syst) which is used to derive B(Λ[subscript b][superscript 0]→Λ[subscript c][superscript +]π[superscript -]π[superscript +]π[superscript -])=(26.8[subscript -11.2][superscript +11.9])×10[superscript -3].
