Abstract
Drinkworks is a joint venture between Anheuser-Busch and Keurig Green Mountain Inc. that has been formed to develop a in-home alcohol drink system that can prepare multiple different alcoholic beverages. The goal of this project is to forecast their new products, including appliance and consumable pods. The forecasting tool should serve as a systematic demand planning tool to generate the product sales forecast in a strategic and operational level throughout the different stages of the product lifecycle. For appliance forecast, three forecasting models are selected and used by the final demand plaining software while only Moving Average Model is explained in detail in this paper. Moreover, this paper also demonstrates the methodology to forecast consumable pods.
