dc.description.abstract | Due to applications in supply chain management, virtual reality, and asset tracking, there has been an increasing interest in accurate localization and motion tracking using radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags. In this thesis, we explore a one-shot radio-frequency identification based localization and motion tracking approach with high accuracy, low latency, and whose cost is much lower than the current state-of-the-art. We propose an implementation that uses frequency-modulated continuous-wave radar for backscatter channel estimation. Overall, our system contributes improvements in the sampling rate and cost of the current state-of-the-art one-shot estimation systems. | en_US |
