dc.description.abstract | Denial of service (DoS) attacks are one problem threatening the networks in the Internet of Battle Things (IoBT) world. Since devices move often in this world, the type of network most commonly used in the IoBT world is the Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET), which dynamically re-configures itself to update the stored paths from one device to another. Routing protocols are used to update these paths. This paper describes two routing protocols designed specifically for use in MANETs - AODV and OLSR. We compare the performances of these two protocols during simulations of an IoBT scenario, and also analytical compare how they respond to two specific DoS attacks - black hole and flooding. | |
