Abstract
Mindfulness, the act of present moment non-judgmental awareness, has seen a resurgence in the business community. A centuries old tradition with roots in Eastern philosophy, leaders in the profit and non-profit world have begun incorporating some of its tenets into their practice. To understand the phenomenological and neurophysiological implications of mindfulness, we examine the latest research and form an analysis on how mindfulness might map to current leadership frameworks, namely the Four Capabilities model.
