Leveraging magnetism for fabrication offers a level of adaptability not found in conventional fabrication methods, and this thesis explores an approach for polarizing discrete points on the surfaces of high-retentivity magnetic sheets. It discusses the design process and implementation of an electromagnetic printhead core used to generate varied flux patterns on said surfaces. The thesis also assess how the generated flux pixels, using an electromagnet, compare to those generated by permanent magnets, before offering some praxis for programmable magnetic sheets.
