This thesis delves into a comprehensive analysis of an organization's data journey, exploring its various stages and critical aspects at each step. It serves as a tool for organizations embarking on their data journey. It can help organizations understand where they are and how to transition to the next stage. It delves into tools such as Excel and the transition to cloud-based solutions. It walks through the idea of data-centric and how organizations can evolve into data-driven enterprises. Each section identifies key actions and capabilities at each stage, guiding organizations in preparing themselves before transitioning to the next phase. The thesis culminates in a data journey workshop to jump-start organizations' transformation. A detailed plan for conducting the workshop is presented, including securing leadership commitment and outlining the workshop agenda. Additionally, a tactical 30-60-90 day plan is proposed, providing participants and leadership with actionable steps to drive data initiatives effectively. This plan acts as a compass, guiding organizations toward their data-driven objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
