dc.description.abstract | In these essays, I explore how organizational structure interacts with other features of an organization to influence strategy. In the first paper, I consider how an organization’s cognitive diversity interacts with organizational structure to influence the degree to which the organization chooses to pursue exploratory new ideas. In the second paper, I consider when delegation motivates or demotivates employees. In the final paper, I consider how different types of communication technologies complement different types of organizational structures. | |
