We present the P-matrix, an alternative method to parameterize the S-matrix, which is particularly useful for low energy meson-meson scattering. We discuss its basic properties and use it to analyze the isospin 0 and 2 s-wave [pi] [pi] scattering. We construct the S-matrix from our analysis and discuss the physical relevance of its poles. Further details of P for more general cases are provided in the appendices.en_US
