Marine pipeline are facing new issues involved by the increase of the depth of exploited oil and gas reservoirs. This thesis discusses the changes in the dynamic behavior of marine pipelines and proposes a simple simulation based on a taut string. The dynamic response of the taut string is modeled using two techniques, the Green's function and the modal superposition. This study demonstrates that the modal superposition technique, commonly used to assess the dynamic behavior of marine pipelines, is still valid under certain conditions.en_US
