Daniel Francis Burns was born in Ireland in 1888 and immigrated to the United States in 1912. He married Mary O'Neill in 1923 and had a family of seven children. He worked as a police officer in the Boston Police Department for thirty-one years. This is the story of his life, from his birth in Ireland to his death in Brighton, Massachusetts. This is also the story of how one man affected the lives of those who came after him. The reverberations of his life continue to be felt, even by those who were born after his death.en_US
