In order to satisfy the ever-increasing complexity of modem architectural design of tall towers, diagrid structural systems are becoming more relevant. To deal with irregular geometries, more sophisticated computational models are necessary. This study establishes a method for integrated design of diagrid structures for complex building geometries. The process is outlined through an architectural method and a structural method with automated intermediary systems in between. The iterative process is then evaluated and recommendations are made for the development of the proposed method. Based on the design example, general guidelines for a general computational approach to the design of more free form structures are to be generated.
