dc.description.abstract | This thesis is an exploration of the qualities of clarity and complexity in architecture. These two qualities, are complimentary and should exist simultaneously. The study follows two routes: clarity and complexity as they relate to the experience of architecture, and clarity and complexity as they relate to the conceptualization of architecture and the process of designing. How does a building exhibit clarity in its entirety while simultaneously providing complexity and richness of form?
