"On September 15, 16, and 17, 1960 the MIT Center for International Studies conducted its second Political Exercise, once again at Endicott House in Dedham, Mass. The general purpose was to carry a step further the simulation of a crisis-type political situation as part of a continuing experiment in gaming characterized by brevity, economy, and the high professional quality of the participants.
