Abstract
We report a search for the decay [bar over B][superscript 0] → Λ[+ over c][bar over p]p[bar over p]. Using a data sample of 471 × 10[superscript 6] B[bar over B] pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II2 storage ring at SLAC, we find no events and set an upper limit on the branching fraction B([bar over B][superscript 0] → Λ[+ over c][bar over p]p[bar over p]) × B(Λ[+ over c] → pK[superscript −]π[superscript +])/0.050 < 2.8 × 10[superscript −6] at 90% C.L., where we have normalized B(Λ[+ over c] → pK[superscript −]π[superscript +]) to the world average value.
