| dc.description.abstract | A chopper-style bicycle was converted to a functional e-bike with electric powertrain, involving a hub motor, a custom power source, and throttle speed control. A custom battery pack was designed to meet system performance specifications and fabricated using individual lithium-ion cells. Overall design parameters included: form-factor of power source, system performance in terms of speed and weight, torque and power provided by the motor and power source, longevity of the battery pack, and compact integration of the powertrain into the existing bicycle. | en_US |
