The problems in the U.S. Electrical Transmission System are identified; existing pricing models and investment mechanisms are evaluated. Positive and negative outputs are described and analyzed - including existing problems in the transmission system and different pricing models and their effect on investment in transmission system. The importance of regulatory factors is evaluated, the limitations and advantages of pricing models are described and investment mechanism is chosen.
