   <dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="en_US">In this thesis, we present a technique to reduce the outage probability of a single user multiple input multiple output (MIMO) channel when a sub-optimal transceiver architecture is used. We show that in slow-fading scenarios, the outage probability can be improved by using unitary rotations combined with coding. We provide analysis and simulations supporting our approach.</dim:field>
