   <dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="en_US">This thesis paper documents the design process, decisions, and outcomes of the design of the physical form factor of PlayLamp, a device for video and audio recording the development of children at-risk of having developmental disorders in development at MIT's Media Lab Cognitive Machines Group. The physical form of PlayLamp is intended to be non-intrusive and have easy non-destructive installation while being aesthetically appealing and respectful of privacy. The end goal is to use the recorded information to develop computer models of behavioral patterns associated with these disorders.</dim:field>
