This thesis contains a full analysis of the feedback specifications, a short summary of the circuits used in the design of the setup, and results from the physical device. Two and three dimensional magnetic levitation systems were analyzed and designed. A modular cell of the two-dimensional levitator was implemented.</dim:field>
