Based on the LTC3588, the design of a bandgap reference and a comparator for use in the control circuitry of DC-DC converter with an ultra-low quiescent current of 150nA is presented here. Not only will this thesis discuss the challenges encountered over the course of designing circuits to operate at such low current levels, but it will also provide proof of concept silicon evaluation data of modified LTC3588 chips demonstrating that such low current operation is viable.en_US
