Assignments

21F.102 meets four times a week for 13 weeks, for a total of 52 class-hours (of 50 minutes each). In the following schedule, assignments are listed in sequence (Day 1, Day 2, etc.), one for each day of class (with intervening days ignored); cf. the calendar.

Note: For character lessons, stroke order is not shown in the regular lessons but will be shown on sets of supplementary sheets that are not available in electronic format at present.

Selections from an annotated slide collection, called 'Writing on the Wall', featuring Chinese shop fronts, signs, and other places where the Chinese language appears in public, are used wherever time permits.

Weather reports in Chinese, obtained from the web, are introduced after Character Lesson 7 (the lesson that introduces weather related material).
