dc.description.abstract | The objective of the present spot pricing study carried out for SCE and PG&E is to develop the concepts which wculd lead to an experimental design for spot pricing in the two utilities. The report suggests a set of experiments and outlines implementation plans that can build upon existing and experimental load management programs and rates. The report also contains a description of spot pricing as well as a survey of the relevant literature. It categorizes the current and experimental rates in use in the two utilities, and relates them to spot pricing. The report further categorizes and evaluates hardware available for spot pricing experiments and implementation based upon the functional requirements of the customer/utility interface. | en_US |
