Projects assignments are applicable to students who choose to take the "intensified version” of the course, which earns them 3 extra units of credit. Students are asked to select two project topics from four offered topics. The four projects consist of two applications-oriented projects and two science-oriented projects. The instructor has designed these project specifications to help engage students with the subject material, and insofar as practicable, with an active research project.

Again, you will have two choices for each of the two projects.
One, focused on the application side of AI, deals with email filtering (PDF). The other, focused on the science side, deals with learning facts about the world (PDF) using near-miss learning supported by either trajectory space or transition space.
