Abstract
This is an introduction to some of the MIT AI vision work of the last few years. The topics discussed are 1) Waltz's work on line drawing semantics, 2) heterarchy, 3) the ancient learning business and 4) copying scenes. All topics are discussed in more detail elsewhere in working paper ot theses.

Work reported herein was conducted at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology research program supported in part by the Advanced Research Projects Agency of the Department of Defense and monitored by the Office of Naval Research under Contract Number N00014-70-A-0362-0003. Working papers are informal papers intended for internal use.
