Lectures: 2 sessions / week, 1.5 hours / session
Class Requirements
During the semester, each student must do the following:
CogLab Assignments
You choose 5 CogLab experiments among the 8 CogLab experiments we propose.
- Perform 5 CogLab experiments (experiments available on the CogLab CD) and send the data (html, txt) to the designated instructor (by email)
- Write 5 CogLab summaries (1 to 2 pages each) based on your data only
- Volunteer to do one group analysis on a CogLab, and present in class the group data of 1 CogLab experiment
Experimental Project Assignments
- Participate to a Project 1 (group of 2 to 5 students)
- Participate to the Oral presentation of Project 1
- Participate to a Project 2 (group of 2 to 5 students)
- Participate to the Oral presentation of Project 2
- Participate to a Project 3 (group of 2 to 5 students)
- Participate to the Oral presentation of Project 3
Written Assignments
- Write a short research paper (~ 1000 words) describing Project 1
- Write a short research paper (~ 1000 words) describing Project 2
- Write a long research paper (~ 12-15 pages, double space) describing Project 3
Note: Each student writes his/her own paper. All written and coglab assignments must be submitted in hard copy. If you cannot do an assignment on time (cf. deadlines dates), contact one of the instructors.
