The B[superscript 0]-[bar over B][superscript 0] oscillation frequency Δm[subscript d] is measured by the LHCb experiment using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0fb[superscript -1] of proton-proton collisions at √s = 7TeV, and is found to be Δm[subscript d] = 0.5156±0.0051 (stat.) ± 0.0033(syst.)ps[superscript -1]. The measurement is based on results from analyses of the decays B[supescript 0] →D[superscript -] π[superscript +] (D[superscript -] → K[superscript +] π[superscript -] π[superscript -]) and B[superscript 0] →J/ψK[superscript *0] (J/ψ→μ[superscript +] μ[superscript -], K[superscript *0] →K[superscript +] π[superscript -]) and their charge conjugated modes.
