dc.description.abstractThermal energy storage and release in aliphatic phase-change materials are actively controlled by adding azobenzene-based photo-switches. UV activation of the additives induces supercooling of the composites, allowing for longer thermal storage at lower temperatures. The mechanism of this process is studied by comparing phase change behavior across diverse materials.en_US
