Abstract
Many countries have developed different mobile TV standards such as DVB-H, DMB, MediaFLO, OneSeg, and ATSCM/ H. In this paper, we compare different mobile TV standards from the viewpoint of video and audio encoding, data encapsulation, transmission network, and advantages and disadvantages of each technology. Also we propose future mobile TV applications 3-D mobile TV to provide backward compatibility with DMB and better bit rates.
