Sometimes I lack all-things-considered preferences between items. Sometimes this attitude is insensitive to mild sweetening. There are items A, A+, B, B+, such that, all things considered, I have no preference between A and B, I have a preference for A+ over A, I have a preference for B+ over B, and yet I have no preference between A and B+, or between A+ and B. The attitude may be turbulent, naturally described as one of ‘tortured ambivalence’en_US
